Description
We are looking for a Pharmacy Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have an understanding and track record of working in pharmacy operations at a regional or national level and will work closely with stakeholders across our organization to deliver innovative, industry-transforming experiences that improve patient engagement and retention. This candidate must have a proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment. We’re building a new model of healthcare that puts the patient at the very centre and this position will be key to providing the best-in-class patient care, as the Pharmacist principally responsible for the day-to-day operations of our British Columbia location.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations and resources and ensure efficiencies as required to maintain customer satisfaction. Ensure high-quality patient and customer service through quality, accuracy and on-time processing of prescriptions.
- Oversee the review and processing of physician orders; Supervise and assist the Pharmacy Technician and Assistants with the preparation, filling, labelling and dispensing of medications to meet the prescription needs of patients
- Provide ongoing medical consultations to patients as it relates to their prescriptions including basic pharmaceutical information about their medications, drug chemistry, proper usage, consumption patterns and potential side effects
- Hire, and manage the performance of direct reports. Provide ongoing communication and contact with staff on goals, objectives, scheduling and pharmacy activities.
- Oversee the administration of patient profiles, medical records and prescription medication history
- Ensure that the pharmacy operates in a manner that promotes patient health and safety and is compliant with federal and provincial regulations.
- Adhere to the rules and regulations stipulated by the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (“NAPRA”) and College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
Requirements
- Full Pharmacist licensing from the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia; Membership in good standing with the provincial College of Pharmacists
- 5+ years of pharmacy experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to manage a team
- Business acumen and basic understanding of the business and economics of pharmacy and the Canadian pharmaceutical industry
- Remarkable attention to detail as it relates to medication preparation and labelling, inventory management, pharmacy documentation and quality control
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.
- Inventory control experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Respect for Health & Safety procedures and protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Advance computer knowledge and skills and experience with Kroll
- Fluent in English
